For years, my life has been about rhythm, discipline, performance and constantly chasing the next moment. But somewhere between travelling, dancing, competing and growing up far away from home, I realised that the things that shaped me most were often the quietest ones.

A kitchen full of noise.
A recipe passed down without measurements.
The feeling of being loved without needing to ask for it.

My story of food, family and finding home
was born from those memories.
This book is not only about food.
It’s about the people, emotions and moments connected to it. The memories we carry with us wherever we go. The way home can still exist inside a smell, a taste or a single conversation.
For almost a year, I’ve been writing, remembering and looking back at the moments that made me who I am today: from Southern Italy to stages and dance floors around the world.
Some stories in this book made me smile.
Some were harder to write than I expected.
But every page comes from something real.
I wanted this book to feel personal. Honest. Warm. Like being invited into my world for an evening.
I truly can’t wait for you to read it, cook from it, and step into my world: a world made of passion, hard work, family, joy… and, of course, amazing food.

Whether you’re a Strictly fan or not this book is so much more. If you want an amazing story about life, this is a true and honest memoir from the heart. You can feel that Vito has beared all in this book and proved that hard work, perseverance and resilience conquer all and will reap rewards for the soul. So many parts of this made me smile but at times it brought tears to my eyes. This is a beautiful book and the title could not be truer, it proves that love is the best ingredient. It’s present in every page.

This book is absolutely fantastic. Vito is an amazing person, so humble despite his successes.
This book well and truly has a lot to savour. A mixture of funny and emotional stories, wonderful descriptions of parts of Italy that make you want to go there, as well as fascinating recipes that form part of most stories. This book really is one of a kind, and pulls on your heartstrings hugely, as well as leaving you craving for Italian food, and exploring the areas of Italy described. I always thought Vito was a wonderful person beforehand, but after reading this book, it's clear that Vito is one of the most beautiful people in this world. He's so caring, down to earth and humble, who well and truly would make friends with everyone, as well as being so modest about his many successes. I really can't decide what page stays with me the most, as every single page stayed with me. If you're already a big fan of Vito, you will be an even bigger fan after reading this beautiful book.
